Our aim is two-fold – to provide an inclusive educational offer that serves the needs of our local community and to provide a career focused curriculum that meets the skills needs of businesses across the region, enabling individuals to further their employment prospects. We work with hundreds of employers, locally and regionally, to ensure that the education and training we deliver meets the skills needs of now and the future. In short, we are here to ensure our students develop the skills, attitudes and behaviours required for success in life and work.
Our greatest strength is our amazing colleagues who continuously strive to provide an excellent educational experience to all our student. Our teaching staff have a wealth of industry and academic expertise, our educational support staff are highly skilled and responsive to student need, and our business support staff enable us to deliver a quality customer experience.
We pride ourselves on the quality of the student experience. Whilst undertaking a qualification(s) is a main motivation for our students, we also provide a whole range of extra-curricular activities and opportunities that enrich college life. From student societies, volunteering, engagement in climate change and sustainability, student democracy, sports and active leisure – there is almost an endless menu of ways to get involved in the wider college community.
The world of further education can seem quite complex. There are many options for you to choose from. We are very well placed to guide you on these important next steps, and our amazing advice and guidance teams including Careers, Employer Partnerships and School Liaison can provide you with the information you need.
For young people leaving school we provide technical education (including the new T levels), academic education (including A Levels) and apprenticeships. We also have a range of options available if you are not quite ready for one of those three pathways.
For Adults we offer Higher Education courses at Levels 4, 5 and 6, Access to Higher Education courses, professional courses, apprenticeships and a range of leisure courses to support health and wellbeing. We also provide a wealth of community and employability courses for adults to support confidence building and progression into the workplace.
For employers we are committed to working with you to develop transformational relationships to meet your skills needs. Whether that is bespoke training, apprenticeships, work academy programmes, work experience as part of T Levels or skills advice and guidance; our Employer Partnerships Team will work with you every step of the way.
