University Centre

Our University Centre is based on our £23m campus and we are proud to be the town’s only Higher Education provider. Our provision focuses on transforming lives for the better and making a real difference. Studying with us means you will benefit from dedicated tutors and small class sizes delivering a range of qualifications including HNCs, HNDs, Foundation and Undergraduate degrees as well as the new Higher Technical Qualifications (HTQs).
So, whether you are looking to enhance your career opportunities, looking to get back into work, or make the leap into University; find out how the Higher Education courses at the University Centre Stockport can take you to where you need to be.

As a strategic partner with Sheffield Hallam University, our courses are of the highest standard and graduates obtain employer focused qualifications from a world-class university.

You don’t have to go far to get far, a degree will be the same from any type of institution. Studying on your doorstep is not only convenient, it means you can live at home and reduce your living expenses.

We provide a variety of qualifications that act as a stepping stone to a full degree, such as HNCs, HNDs and foundation degrees. They can be topped up to a degree at a later date, giving you flexibility to complete your studies in stages.

Everything is on a smaller scale at Trafford, meaning your learning generally takes place in a classroom setting. This creates a more productive learning environment and gives you more opportunities to collaborate with other students.

We can offer a more supportive learning experience, with individual support for those who need it and more one-to-one time with your lecturers and tutors. This gives students the best chance of achieving their potential.

We are an integral part of the local community and our courses provide you with specific workplace skills. This includes the provision of Higher Technical Qualifications (HTQs) which have been specifically developed with employers and businesses so you will get the skills they are looking for, unlocking high-skilled and highly paid jobs.
