Trafford and Stockport College Group celebrates trio of award successes for Health and Safety

Trafford and Stockport College Group is celebrating a trio of awards, demonstrating its unwavering commitment to excellence in health, safety, sustainability, and student engagement across all campuses.

The Group has secured a further two prestigious ISO accreditations—ISO 14001 and ISO 45001—for its Marple and Stockport Colleges.

These certifications highlight the Group’s rigorous adherence to international standards in environmental management and occupational health and safety.

Trafford College’s Altrincham and Stretford campuses have already earned the same accreditations in previous years. Now, the focus shifts to securing this status for Cheadle College, once ongoing project works are complete.

Adding to the celebrations, Trafford and Stockport College Group has once again been honoured with a Silver Award from the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA), marking the second consecutive year the Group has been recognised for its outstanding health and safety performance.

This Silver Award acknowledges the Group’s consistent delivery of high health and safety standards, backed by strong management systems, and an ongoing commitment to continuous improvement and excellence in the prevention of accidents.

In addition to these accomplishments, the Group has also been shortlisted for the Green Gown Awards in two categories, recognising its innovation in student engagement and environmental leadership.

Natalie Thornborough, Head of Health, Safety & Sustainability for the Group, remarked on the significance of these achievements: “These three accolades underline Trafford and Stockport College Group’s dedication to setting the standard for excellence, not just in education but also in health, safety, and sustainability.

“With its eyes set on future success, the Group remains a beacon of progress, shaping tomorrow’s leaders and ensuring safer, greener campuses for all.”
