Celebrating Success: Trafford and Stockport College Group Triumphs at Greater Manchester Skills Competitions 

Once again, the dream team from Trafford and Stockport College Group has showcased their exceptional talents at the recent Greater Manchester Skills Competitions, leaving a trail of remarkable achievements. From construction to engineering, hairdressing to digital media, our students have once again proven their prowess and dedication to their crafts. 

In Construction, our students have truly excelled. Greg Heywood and Oliver Taylor from Stockport College claimed 1st place in Carpentry and Joinery at Level 3 and Level 2 respectively, while Ethan Street secured 2nd place in Carpentry and Joinery at Level 1. Lewis Cobane also brought glory to Stockport College by securing 1st place in Plumbing at Level 2. 

But the success doesn’t end there. In the domain of engineering and motor skills, our students have once again demonstrated their capabilities. Casper Sharpe Little, Fahad Latif, Michael Bundy, Zhao, James Rhead, Daniel Burslem, and Elliot Fletcher showcased their skills, with Elliot also securing the prestigious RRG Toyota sponsored ‘Excellence in Motor Vehicle’ award! Additionally, Jacob Forde and Sofia Anwar from Trafford College contributed to our collective success. 

Stockport College emerged as the overall winner, a testament to the hard work and dedication of our students and staff alike. 

In the fields of Hairdressing, Nails, and Beauty Therapy, our students sparkled. Maneli from Trafford College secured 3rd place in Hair, while Yu Ching Chi claimed 1st place in Nails. Scarlet Illidge and Angela Hardman from Stockport and Trafford College respectively clinched 1st place in Level 2 Make-up and Level 2 Hair. Layla and Tilly from Stockport and Trafford College respectively dominated in Level 3 Beauty, while Aalyah Shields from Stockport College secured 2nd place in Level 3 Nails. 

Trafford College secured 2nd place overall, showcasing the depth of talent and expertise among our students. 

In the realm of Digital and Creative Media, our students once again demonstrated their innovation and skill. Yash Patel, Hammad Mizra Jabeen, Gabriela Manu, and Marley Busby from Stockport College secured 2nd place in Hackathon, Computing.
